Watsu® 3 Masterclass with Tatyana

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

The Watsu 3 Masterclass for certified Watsu practitioners is an advanced-level training designed to deepen both technical skill and intuitive understanding in aquatic bodywork. At this stage, the focus shifts from learning structured sequences to embodying the underlying principles that allow each session to become a unique and responsive experience. Practitioners are invited to refine their sensitivity, presence, and capacity to listen through touch, movement, and breath.

A central part of the program is the in-depth exploration and functional practice of free flow. This allows practitioners to move beyond fixed forms and to cultivate a fluid, creative approach rooted in clear principles. The course also focuses on the adaptation and facilitation of Watsu 3 techniques for different types of clients, recognising that each body, condition, and intention requires a specific and respectful response. In addition, participants will learn convenient variations that can be applied to suit different preferences—both for the practitioner and the receiver—enhancing comfort, accessibility, and effectiveness in each session.
Rather than relying on predefined techniques, the Watsu 3 Masterclass encourages practitioners to trust their understanding and creativity. Through guided explorations and practice, they learn to allow new movements and connections to emerge organically. This approach fosters confidence and authenticity, enabling each practitioner to develop their own expression within the Watsu practice.
Ultimately, the Watsu 3 Masterclass is an invitation to evolve from doing Watsu to truly being in Watsu—where technique dissolves into flow, and each session becomes a living dialogue between practitioner, receiver, and water.

Prerequisites: Watsu 3.

A 2-day course on the surface only.

Watsu is an aquatic bodywork modality given in a warm water pool (ideally 35°C).

Watsu, where  the client’s face stays always on the surface, introduces the qualities and body mechanics required to work with someone in water in order to create a profound state of both physical and mental relaxation. Watsu offers an opportunity for profound relaxation and letting go, for building trust, for being nurtured and held, for expanding inner and outer boundaries, for releasing emotions and traumas – ultimately, for freeing body and mind in a flow unique to each client and to each session.

Amnion® 1 with Mary Seamster

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

A 6-day intro into working with embryological patterns and attachment imprints.

Being in a warm pool seems to spontaneously evoke many prenatal and preverbal gestures that emerged inside the protective matrix of the amnion (a membrane that closely covers the embryo when it’s first formed).

In order to set the intention for calm and grounded contact, this course starts with a brief exploration of cranial sacral therapy principles. The training includes both land-based components as well as explorations in water, incorporating experiential exercises, informative lectures, engaging videos, and sacred creative expressions.

This is a time to let go of whatever aquatic techniques you have learned and be prepared to unfold, unmask, and delve into your own deeply rooted imprints.

Prerequisites: Watsu Basic or an intro to Cranial Sacral therapy.

Tandem Watsu® for Couples with Tatyana

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

Tandem Watsu for Couples is a unique and deeply connecting aquatic experience in which two providers support and guide two partners simultaneously in warm water. Moving in harmony, the practitioners create a shared flow that allows both receivers to remain in subtle connection with each other throughout the session. This form of bodywork invites couples to explore trust, communication, and presence beyond words, in an environment where movement, breath, and touch become the primary language.

The experience is designed to foster a sense of unity while still honouring each individual’s needs. At times, partners may be gently brought closer together, allowing for moments of contact, synchronized breathing, or shared stillness. At other times, they may be guided apart, creating space for personal integration before reconnecting again. This dynamic interplay between togetherness and individuality mirrors the natural rhythm of a healthy relationship.
Tandem Watsu® is not about performing synchronized techniques, but about cultivating sensitivity and attunement—both between the practitioners and within the couple. The quality of presence, the timing of movements, and the subtle awareness of each partner’s state all contribute to a coherent and nourishing experience. The water supports a sense of weightlessness and safety, making it easier to release tension and access deeper levels of relaxation.
For couples, this practice can be profoundly enriching. It offers an opportunity to reconnect in a non-verbal, embodied way, to experience mutual support, and to rediscover a sense of flow together. Whether approached as a therapeutic session or as a shared journey, Tandem Watsu® opens a space for intimacy, trust, and renewed connection.

Prerequisites: Watsu 2 mastery.

Universal Flow with Tatyana

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

The body can be understood as a finely tuned system of levers, where bones, joints, and muscles interact to create movement, balance, and support. Each action we perform—whether simple or complex—is the result of these levers working in harmony.

By understanding the fundamental principles of levers—such as balance points, weight distribution, and the relationship between effort and resistance—you gain a deeper insight into how the body naturally moves underwater.
Universal Flow is not a method based on fixed sequences or prescribed forms. It is an exploration of principles: how to support and guide the body in water, how to listen through touch, how to follow the rhythm of breath, and how to harmonise movement with the natural flow of the aquatic environment. Attention to small nuances—such as the timing of an exhale, the quality of contact, or the direction of a subtle shift—becomes essential in creating a coherent and nurturing experience.
The course is grounded in the knowledge of biomechanics and neurophysiology, offering a scientific foundation for this intuitive work. By integrating these perspectives, participants develop both a clear understanding and a refined sensitivity, enabling them to work with the body in a way that is both informed and deeply responsive.

Prerequisites: Watsu Basic.

Credits: Universal Flow gives 25 hours of credit for registration as a supplemental class with Watsu India.

Amnion® 2 with Mary Seamster

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

When we enter the water, this system does not disappear; rather, it reveals itself in a more subtle and fluid way. Working with the body in water becomes an art of sensing and guiding this system of levers, where gravity is softened and movement can unfold with greater ease and continuity.

Woga® 1&2 (Yoga in Water) with Tamara

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

A 2-day course.

Woga is a combination of two words: water and yoga. It is based on classic yoga poses and stretches, modified for standing in water that is waist-to-chest height. Woga focuses on Hatha Yoga in water, including asanas performed in standing position, against the wall, in floating position, and under water. The course also includes pranayama and meditation.

Classes follow a structure similar to land-based yoga: breathing exercises, warm-ups, a series of poses, and a relaxation period. The key difference is that you are in a warm water pool! Swimming skills are not required. By reducing the effects of gravity, water allows ease of movements, unblocks joints, lengthens and relaxes muscles, alleviates negative tensions, and prevents stress, insomnia and anxiety.

Prerequisites: No previous experience required (also no need to know how to swim).

In this course, we will focus on three fundamental aspects of WaterDance: vertical grounding, posture of both giver and receiver, and the breath.

In addition, you will learn and practice the basic WaterDance movements, which form the essential core of this powerful aquatic-bodywork modality.

WaterDance 1 with Roberto

At Quiet Healing Center, Auroville, India

A 6-day course, mainly under water.

WaterDance (also known as WATA or WasserTanzen) is a dynamic, mind- and playful movement therapy. It was developed by Peter Schröter and Arjana C. Brunschwiler in the late 80s.

In this foundational course, we explore the art of connecting with the breath and establishing a deep, trusting relationship with our partners to guide them underwater with confidence and care.
Through practice with diverse body types, we’ll learn to adapt our technique, cultivating greater safety, fluidity, and poetic expression in our movements.

By guiding our partners underwater using kumbhaka (breath retention from Pranayama), we invite them into deep states of relaxation, inner silence, freedom, and joy. Any fears related to immersion are welcomed with presence and compassion.

We will learn the “short form,” comprising more than 20 distinct positions and movements. Special emphasis will be placed on creating a safe, gentle, and fluid environment to foster a sense of freedom and joy.
